Super-Lost Me

Posted on: May 6th, 2010 by wmapother 3 Comments

ABC has added an extra half-hour to the ‘Lost’ finale.  Its official running time, as of 12:21:35a.m. EST, is five days, six hours, fourty-seven minutes and an indeterminate number of seconds.

And that’s still not long enough.  And so say all of us.

Report in the Hollywood, uh, Reporter is here.

WILLIAM and Mary

Posted on: April 28th, 2010 by wmapother 4 Comments

The  Int’l Mercury Expo at the College of WILLIAM and Mary this past weekend went off without a hitch.  Yours truly gave a talk Saturday night on the importance of social activism and volunteerism to (mostly) students.  Afterward, your intrepid blogger answered their questions about his activities, acting in Hollywood, and ‘Lost.’  It was a wholly fun evening, even if neither I nor they learned any more about what’s lurking in your dental fillings or tuna sushi.

The student paper’s interview is here.

San Fran, Part Deux

Posted on: April 24th, 2010 by wmapother 4 Comments

My  birthday in San Fran was spent first at the farmer’s market at the Ferry Bldg (left),

and then taking a ferry across the bay to Larkspur in Marin county, where we docked right next to San Quentin (right).

As we got ready to take off, I stood at the back of the ferry and asked some guy who appeared to have half a brain to take a shot of me.  This was the result.

However, the above was his second shot.  When he got ready to take the first shot, I noticed his finger placement and started to say something.  His response was to cut me off and assure me, “Don’t worry, man — I got this.”   Here’s what he got:

Later went hiking on Mt. Tam with some not-sucky views of the city.  (Note:  This is not from my iPhone, which wasn’t quite up to capturing the distance shot..)
