In anticipation of the appearance of ‘Another Earth’ in competition at next week’s Sundance film festival, IndieWire has posted an interview here with herr director himself, Mike Cahill (he, to the right, of the long hair).
By the way, I have never, ever seen his expression as calm as in this picture. He’s typically bouncing about, excited to try some new idea. I smell Photoshop..

I wish that the film is successful at Sundance and it will come soon to Argentina π
even the distance I'll be rooting for "Another Earth"
Quote: "I have a very βdo-erβ mentality." – there, he says so himself π
"If we could confront ourselves, what would we feel? ", reminds me of what i once learned that sums up to : 'You have to be able to meet everyone (openly), including yourself.'
I liked how he mentions Kieslowski, one of my favourite directors , bringing Polish 'soul' to French (cinematic) storytelling , a compelling combination (Three Colors – trilogy) . maybe it is my roots in these countries, as when travelling – have you ever felt connected to a place where you had not been before ?
Associations fan out , as so often when i read your blog
Thank you .
