Let It Lie

Posted on: April 3rd, 2010 by wmapother 3 Comments

My recommendations began tentatively, then picked up steam, and now, apparently, they’re the Cannonball Express.  Once a yapper, always a yapper.

Last night for the first time in far too many years, I saw the Dan Band live.  (You may remember them from ‘Old School,’ ‘The Hangover,’ etc.)  And three times I laughed so hard I fell off my chair onto the floor.  Literally.

Lying there, fighting for breath, as who knows what leapt onto and into my body from the godforsaken floor of Club Nokia, I was tempted to analyze here in a post the what and why of their splendiferousness.  I’ve since decided to let it lie.  And shut the heck up.

So here, without any further yapping, are some links for laughs:  Wikipedia, their home page, and videos of All the Single Ladies and Total Eclipse of the Heart.

Countin’ the Bab(i)es

When Reno Wilson phones, I take the call.  Last year he and I were on the last two episodes of Prison Break as a pair of FBI agents, and I had trouble keeping a straight face at time during shooting.  He’s one funny man.  He also has the gift of being extremely, immediately likable, both in person and on screen.  I can’t stand him.

So he rings me up to do a cameo in a video he’s shooting for Funny or Die, and who am I to say No?  It’s called Babymaker and is in the Top 20 over at Funny or Die.  You can watch it and vote here.
