Just Under the Wire

Posted on: May 14th, 2009 by wmapother 2 Comments

Just in time before it goes off the air, I’ll be on Prison Break this Friday at 8/7C on Fox as FBI agent Chris Franco (in a double ep — ‘Rate of Exchange’ and ‘Killing Your Number’).  I’m sorry the show’s leaving.  It has a cult of devout fans, and as mentioned in an earlier post, I know one of the leads, Dominic Purcell, from Mission:Impossible II.  Here’s hoping that it goes out with a bang.

[Note: If you missed the broadcast, you can watch it online here.]
One other thing:  Not that anyone’s actually voiced this, but just in case there’s any suspicions:  I was cast and shot before — that’s prior to, earlier than, somewhere between eons ago and the eve of — the show was cancelled.  So I’m innocent, in the clear, off the hook.
[One other other thing:  I was also in the last two episodes of Touched By An Angel.  I cannot swear I had nothing to do with that one.]

Burrowers Released on DVD

Posted on: April 22nd, 2009 by wmapother 2 Comments

Unless you’ve been living under a rock or kidnapped by pirates, and, probably, even if you have been, you’ve heard that ‘The Burrowers’ is now out on DVD. The trailer on YouTube is here. It’s probably already sold out, checked out, rented out, and worn out everywhere you’d want it, but in case some genre geek is able to scrounge you up a copy, here are some links to possible outlets: Netflix, Blockbuster, and, for those who absolutely, positively must own it, Amazon. So why are you still reading this? Get thee scrounging!

Burrowers Trailer Released

Posted on: April 14th, 2009 by wmapother 4 Comments

In anticipation of next week’s DVD release of The Burrowers, Lionsgate has posted the official trailer for the film here, hosted by the kind folks at Shock Till You Drop. I’d be a dang liar if I said I wasn’t a bit disappointed that audiences weren’t going to see this Horror-Western on a big screen. (It looks terrific that large, and them dirt-dwellers, well, seein’ them babies at 50 feet high ain’t gonna be helpin’ your dreamin’ none. And isn’t that why you see them sorta picture shows?) Regardless, JT Petty and the gang made a fun fusion of the two genres, one I really enjoyed…almost as much as I enjoyed gettin’ paid to ride horses.

William makes a Prison Break

Posted on: February 16th, 2009 by wmapother 2 Comments

Just in time before the hit Fox series Prison Break goes off the air, William will appear in a couple episodes. The last two, to be specific. (No word if they’ll be run separately or scrunched together.)  The series is on hiatus and will resume airing its fourth and final season on April 17 (William’s birthday.  Fate?  You be the judge.).  William’s episodes should run about mid-May. And in a show full of thugs and criminals, William plays — surprise — an FBI agent (name of Chris Franco). Trivia: It was ten years ago that William last worked with the show’s co-lead, Dominic Purcell, in…anyone?  anyone?… Mission: Impossible 2. For more info on Prison Break, check out imdb and its home page. Also, you can watch “PB” episodes on Hulu.

"The Burrowers" DVD information announced!

Posted on: January 29th, 2009 by wmapother 3 Comments

William’s film The Burrowers will be released on DVD on April 21st:

It is 1879 in the Dakota Territories. A handful of brave pioneers maintain isolated settlements in the badlands beyond civilization. Irish Immigrant Fergus Coffey is near to winning the hand of his beloved Maryanne when she is suddenly taken from him, her family brutally abducted in a nighttime attack on their homestead. Suspicion falls immediately on hostile Indians. Experienced Indian fighters Will Parcher and John Clay form a posse and set out to rescue the kidnapped settlers, taking along a naïve teenager hoping to prove himself a man, an ex-slave looking to find his place in the world and their ranch-hand, Coffey. But as men vanish in the night and horrific evidence accumulates with the dead and dying, the group discovers that their prey is far more terrifying than anything human, and their prospects are far more terrible than death.
DVD special features include “The Burrowers: Making a Horror Western” and “Digging up The Burrowers: Creating the Monster” featurettes and audio commentary with writer/director JT Petty and actor Karl Geary. For more information, check out BloodyDisgusting.com for details.
