Dwight Schrute and Me

Posted on: February 7th, 2011 by wmapother 4 Comments

Back in the Stone Age of 2002, before Facebook, before Obama, before recorded history, nearly, I shot a short film called Self Storage that was written and directed by my friend Peter O’Brien.

One of the most fun parts of this business is never knowing whom you’ll work with, or who you’re working with will become.

In this case, my co-stars were the lovely and talented Catherine Kellner and…Rainn Wilson, long before he became known to everyone as beet farmer extraordinaire Dwight Schrute of The Office.  He’s definitely no beet farmer in this film..

Peter has posted the short film online, and you can watch it here:  http://vimeo.com/19624198

A little Burrower love

Posted on: October 14th, 2010 by wmapother 6 Comments

‘The Burrowers’ didn’t get the love we might’ve gotten if we had a theatrical release, but that doesn’t mean the movie’s been forgotten.  It’s on at least one blogger’s ‘Best you haven’t seen” list here.

The entire Lost collection is now available on DVD, both regular and in Blu-ray.  It’s on Amazon here and here (Blu-ray).

Thirty-eight discs, 30 bonus hours, and a full-size replica of the fuselage.  OMG:  There goes autumn.
