That’s the high praise from TV Guide’s piece on my Justified ep. They tossed out that bone 
right after noting that I’m a Kentucky native. Hmmm.
Television Without Pity tossed me their bone of the ‘Lost Alumnus of the Week’ for the same ep.
I am awash in glory.

Sounds as if, y’all, that they had almost as much fun watching it as I did shooting it. Almost.

So here’s another try. Though the NYC showing is past, I hoping the series goes on tour, both in the US and internationally. Next stop might be London..
• PORTRAITS IN DRAMATIC TIME – a series of hyper-slow-motion, silent short films by David Michalek.
The shooting of each film lasted only about ten seconds, but because they’re shot at 1,000 frames/sec (regular speed is 24 frames/sec), they play back verrrryyyy slowly, at anywhere from five to ten minutes. They were broadcast on a mammoth, 85-ft x 45-ft outdoor screen at part of NYC’s Lincoln Center Festival in July, and it’s expected that they’ll go on tour soon. William is in three of them. Other actors included Patti LuPone, Alan Rickman, Holly Hunter, Liev Shreiber, and performers from around the world. The Wall St. Journal piece includes a Mapother quote or two, and a HuffPo piece includes the photo at right and a video interview with David. Someone has generously compiled a very nice homage video montage to my 2006 movie ‘Lather Effect‘ with lots of recognizable faces… It’s here.
So I’m shooting here in chilly Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, just a quick swim across the border from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The movie is Citizen Gangster, about the infamous Canadian bank robber and prison escaper, who operated from about 1949-52.
Scott Speedman (Felicity, Underworld, etc.) is playing Edwin, and Kevin Durand (Martin Keamy of Lost, etc.) is playing one of his gang members. My role is Detective Rhys, who arrests Eddie and then pursues the gang after their escape.
I’ve had little time to explore the area, but it’s beautiful (the pic is from my hotel window), and the people are preternaturally friendly — as one expects from Canadians..
